Library General Rules:
- All the members shall enter their name, membership number and the entry time in the Library register kept at the security counter while entering the Library. Similarly, during exit the leaving time should be entered in the register.
- No personal belongings such as bags, briefcases, handbags, umbrellas, parcels etc., are allowed inside the Library. These belongings may be deposited at the property counter near the entrance, solely at the user’s own risk and responsibility.
- All students are instructed to come to the Library with a proper dress code.
- Boiler suits, shorts, sleeveless t-shirts are strictly not allowed.
- During the Library hour’s silence, good conduct and a conducive environment need to be maintained.
- Only notebooks and the Library books will be allowed inside. Users are not allowed to bring their personal books (including textbooks) or any printed material (including books/photocopied materials) inside the Library.
- Use of Mobile phones is strictly not permitted inside the Library.
- Users should maintain silence and should not disturb other users.
- No eatables/drinks are allowed inside the Library.
- Users are requested to handle all the Library materials carefully to avoid physical damage. Underlining/marking/tearing/folding of pages or damaging the Library books/materials is strictly prohibited. A penalty will be charged from defaulters.
- Library material cannot be taken out from the Library without proper permission.
- Private papers and non-Library material should not be left unattended on tables. The library is not responsible for the loss of any private property.
- “No dues certificate” will be issued at the time of leaving the University, on return of all the Library books and documents etc.
- The laptop in the Library premises should be used for academic purposes only. Online chatting, browsing social networking sites, playing games, and watching movies on a laptop is strictly prohibited.
- On violation of Library rules or misconduct by any user, the Library authorities shall withdraw the Library facilities of the user and levy penalties.
